The SBE team was struggling with out-dated methods to engage their modern-day visitors. The event feed was a standout feature in the SBE app. Visitors used this dynamic, social-media-style newsfeed to post updates, share photos and videos, and react to others’ posts. It became SBE’s version of Instagram and TikTok.
The app included LIVE audience polls to boost participation. Pre-scheduling these polls saved the SBE team valuable time. Visitors also enjoyed the ability to pre-book meetings and chat with others directly in the app.
The event app feature that stole the show was gamification. Visitors earned points by completing quizzes and interacting with exhibitors, sparking friendly competition. They raced to earn badges and climb the leaderboard, turning the expo into an exciting challenge.

Keeping over 3500 visitors engaged and informed during the Expo was a significant challenge. Important updates, such as session changes or reminders about keynote speakers, often went unnoticed with traditional methods like emails or printed schedules.
This lack of real-time communication frustrated both the SBE team and visitors leaving sessions under-attended and creating unnecessary confusion.
Solution
We introduced the SBE Team to the event app that visitors could download from their app store. Through the event app, the organizers made all announcements via push notifications.

SBE’s exhibitor experience lacked effective ways to connect with visitors. Exhibitors used traditional methods like business cards and notes. Some relied on clunky third-party apps.
These methods were tedious for exhibitors to manage and transfer lead data. The SBE team also couldn’t track exhibitor ROI or measure booth performance.

The SBE event app powered by Nunify featured an in-built, QR-coded lead scanner. Visitor QR codes were printed on their badges at check-in. Exhibitors simply scanned the badge to instantly access visitor details.

Nunify’s lead retrieval went beyond simple data capture. On each scan, exhibitors could score leads in real-time, categorizing them as Hot, Warm, or Cold. They also had the option to take notes and record voice memos right within the app. This feature ensured that all critical information was securely stored and immediately accessible.
The industry-first virtual exhibitor booths provided additional insights, such as visitor views, clicks, and interactions, giving exhibitors a deeper understanding of lead quality.
